Financial Snapshot uses first-party cookies only for sign-in, security and keeping your answers connected to the correct private session. It does not use analytics, advertising, social-media or cross-site tracking cookies.

Cookies in use

snapshot_session

Who receives it
Clients and adviser users
Purpose
Maintains the private session, protects forms against forgery, and keeps a client’s autosaved journey connected to its invitation.
Duration
Until the browser session ends. Client access also expires after two hours of inactivity.

snapshot_remember

Who receives it
Adviser users only
Purpose
Keeps an adviser signed in when they actively select “Remember me”. The token is rotated after use and can be revoked.
Duration
30 days, unless the adviser signs out or the token is revoked sooner.

Why there is no cookie banner

The session cookie is strictly necessary to provide the secure service requested. The optional adviser cookie is set only after the adviser actively chooses the “Remember me” option. No non-essential cookie is set, so there is no analytics or advertising consent banner.

Your controls

You can delete or block cookies in your browser. Blocking the session cookie prevents secure sign-in and the client questionnaire from working. Advisers can avoid the persistent cookie by leaving “Remember me” unticked and can remove it by signing out.

If this service is later configured with any non-essential technology, the operator must update this notice and obtain valid consent before that technology is used.
